BDF Biotech is a leading European company in the investigation, development and manufacture of premium bioactive natural ingredient formulations for the Nutrition and Cosmetics sector.
BDF Biotech was created in 2014 as a subsidiary of the BDF Group. It began by specializing in the production of Transglutaminase enzymes for the food industry. A few years later, its activity had already expanded to the production of fish gelatin and hydrolyzed collagen. The ingredients and food supplements we manufacture at the BDF Biotech facilities today are currently in high demand on the international market – and not only in terms of the food production sector. Our products are successful nutricosmetics, and perform as an ideal substitute for other synthetically-obtained products.
With a state-of-the-art 5,000 m2 production plant, BDF Biotech has become a cornerstone for the growth of the entire business group. Our investment commitment in R+D+I over the last few years is now showing the results we were all anticipating, and numerous projects that are key to BDF’s continued growth have been successfully completed.
BDF Biotech is based in the Canary Islands, a location well-known for its scenery and climate, however it is also a unique place when it comes to producing renewable energy sources. The production plant has been optimized to carry out several of its manufacturing processes, using both solar and wind energy, which help to provide us with a more sustainable production model.
